Respect crawl delays and feed etiquette. A broken fetch schedule that hammers sites will get you blocked — and you will blame the reader.
Prefer tools with clear unread counts and keyboard navigation if you live in feeds all day.
When to self-host vs use a client
Self-host when you need shared folders, multi-device sync you control, or filters that leave your machine. A local client may be enough for solo reading.
